In addition to many years of Interior Design creations, I am a lifelong artist enjoying several mediums. I have tried to creatively add elements of my art into interior design projects.
I created a traveling nature-based art exhibit "Me'chanted" which has been featured at nature centers, libraries, restaurants, and galleries around the Southeast since 2014.
I have been featured on six episodes of HGTV's "Decorating With Style" and one episode of Discovery Channel's "Christopher Lowell Show".
This photo shows my messy studio, working on "Me'chanted".

Shown here are three of many painted silk screens I enjoyed creating since first discovering this medium in 1993. The first two screens were created for a design job, "Prince Avenue Primary Care", restoration of a 1895 Victorian mansion into Doctor's offices.
The Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass design was done as a pair of painted sik screens
for my client Stacy, to divide her basement gym area from the tv room.

The beautiful silk items above were created for product line gift items to accompany my exhibit, Me'chanted. I wish I had nothing else to do but create these kinds of items!
Below are details of the art piece "Live Your Truth"...one of the pieces created for "Me'chanted"
It is mixed media collage featuring acrylic on canvas, repurposed watercolor on paper, repurposed cardboard, paper grocery bags, and dye on silk with jewel embellishments and natural items such as bamboo and acorns.

I created these custom silk lanterns for two clients Arlene and Julie. They are large scale and actually light up!
Arlene had an Americana collection she wanted to add to in her stairwell.
Julie's lamps went above her fireplace in her two-story living room.

I've painted and hand beaded countless silk scarves over the years.
They always sell out! They range from habotai to velvet to organza to alpaca.
Unique embellishments make my scarves stand apart from others.

These unique and functional painted silk Roman Shades are just one example of many hand painted window treatments I have created over the years. Many valances, cornice boards, and painted drapes grace the home of my clients.
Costume design is a new endeavor for me, and a favorite. My niece Ashton posed as a fairy in a hand painted costume, as part of the creation of "Me'chanted" and the Me'chanted fairy herself has an elaborate gown fitting a faerie queen.
I have been a garment seamstress since I was a pre-teen! (hard to believe this niece now has her own babies!)
